16 Apr 2010 : BAE Systems win their R&D Cup Final............................
BAE Systems win their R&D Cup Final............................The First XI management team took the oppurtunity to see BAE Systems FC play on Thursday evening and they were impressed by the standard on display. BAE Systems ran out 3-1 winners against a strong Park Regis FC team at Lordswood FC's Martin Grove ground.

We spoke with First Team manager Kevin Hake about the forthcoming Cup Final:

"Both Kevin and I are looking forward to the Cup Final but to be brutally honest there are 4No games to be played before then so our concetration is on the home game against Lydd Town FC this coming Saturday."

"From what I saw this evening BAE will be extremely tough opposition and will provide us with a real challenge, the defence looked very well drilled and the midfield very creative and in their strikers they possess real danger. Throughout this tournament we have had to beat some very good teams to get to the final, however cup finals are very different to normal games."

"I will be speaking to the players about composure and discipline, the one thing we as a club have learnt from last seasons cup final defeat ist to never let the occassion get the better of you! Bringing Kev (Little) in has obviously strengthened the off field team but our players are stronger this year and I am confident we shall give a good account of ourselves."

Thanks Kevin and good luck Saturday against Lydd Town FC

27 Mar 2010 : Swale First XI win through to Kent Cup Final....................................
Swale First XI win through to Kent Cup Final....................................Swale First XI secured their place in the Kent Cup Final following a well ground out result against a strong Eccles FC who will fill extremely hard done by given the oppurtunities they created. We grabbed a word with a jubilant First Team manager Kevin Hake:

"I am so proud of all the boys today, they not only showed in the first twenty mins what a good footballing side they also showed Kev and I they can actually defend a 1 goal lead."

"Luke Titshall in goal today was immense but that takes nothing away from the ten other players in front of him who played brilliantly. I understand that we shall be playing BAE Systems FC in the final, something I am very much looking forward to following last seasons disappointing result against them!"

Well done Kevin and congratulations to you and the whole squad involved...................
