Swale looking forward to returning to action............................Swale United FC are all looking forward to returning to action this coming weekend and with both teams playing the managers are just hoping that the weather does not take another turn for the worse. We grabbed a word with First Team manager Kevin Hake:

"I cannot wait to start again!! This must have been the longest two weeks of my life, we have a tough away cup game against Chipstead FC but I am confident the boys will do well."

"As if by fate the following weekend we have our local rivals Borden Village in the league, despite our victory in the cup having played poorly I am sure we can do well against them."

Thanks Kevin

Swale lose out to Guru Nanak whom defended superbly............................Swale United FC were left to rue there missed chances as Guru Nank FC left Gore Court with all 3points here today.

How this game stayed at 1-0 is beyond belief and but for some fantastic goalkeeping it would not have, star of the show though went to the Guru Nanak goalkeeper who pulled of over 6 wonder saves. We grabbed a word with First Team manager Kevin Hake:

"I am bitterly dissappointed with the result today, we could have gone top of the league if we had won but alas it was not meant to be. I cannot fault the guys effort and had it not been for their goalkeeper and some poor finishing no-one here today could have argued with a 3 or 4-1 scoreline!!"

"Hopefully this will give us a jolt and we will get back to winning ways in the cup against our local rivals Borden Village FC weekend after next. I hope the lads have a good break next weekend and come back refreshed for this home tie against Borden who will give us an extremely tough game."

Thanks Kevin and have a good break, a quick reminder both the First XI and reserve team have no fixture this weekend but will be back to action the following weekend.

Swale FC now over 4hours without conceding a league goal.....................Swale United FC continue their fantastic form in the league as they now enter their 4th league game without conceding a goal. We grabbed a word with First Team manager Kevin Hake:

"I am so pleased with the boys for the way they are playing at the moment, Malgo are a superb side and will be in the mix come the end of the season. The highlight for me today was the never say die attitude, even conceding a 18minute penalty did not deter the lads."

"The defence was brilliant today but the entire team worked there socks off, I am really pleased for Holty who has found the form we know he is capable of. I cannot wait for next week to come now, with ANOTHER home game against Guru Nanak FC."

Thanks Kevin and well done.

19 Oct 2010 : Swale prepare to welcome Premier Division Canterbury City FC to Gore Court on Saturday.............................
Swale prepare to welcome Premier Division Canterbury City FC to Gore Court on Saturday.............................Swale United FC will be taking a break from their successful league campaign this weekend when they entertain high flying Premier Division Canterbury City FC in the Senior Kent Cup. We grabbed a word with First Team manager Kevin Hake to talk about the teams progress so far this season:

"This is the happiest I have been with the team in my entire time at the football club, the lads are really listening and getting on with the job in hand. To be 2nd in the table after 8 league games is testament to how well the boys are doing. The team ethic we have is second to none and the way in which we have defended over the past few weeks and especially against Platt was superb."

"In terms of the game against Canterbury I see it as a bonus from winning the Kent Cup last year, to get to pit our wits against Premier Division opposition will be a real challenge and hopefully we will give a good acccount of ourselves. Canterbury can be seen as a blueprint of where we as a club see ourselves in 2 or 3 years and again I wish them well in the league, I just hope they have an off day come Saturday!!!!"

Thanks Kevin and good luck Saturday.....

"Today we showed what we are about as a club, some of the football played at times was exceptional if not foxy!!! The lads did everything Kev and I asked from them and now we look forward to meeting Guru Nanak next weekend in the Les Leckie Cup."

"We have always under achieved in this cup and we shall be fielding a full strength side and looking to beat Guru Nanak where we would face our local rivals Borden Village FC in the next round."

Thanks Kevin and good luck next weekend.

COME ON SWALE.................................................

22 Sep 2010 : Swale take on unbeaten Tenterden Town FC who will be looking to build on their 100% start to theseason
Swale take on unbeaten Tenterden Town FC who will be looking to build on their 100% start to theseason Swale United FC will host the only un-defeated team in Division 2 East of the Kent County League this coming Saturday, we grabbed a word with First Team Manager Kevin Hake:

"I am looking forward to this one as last week defensively we let ourselves down, Broadstair benefited from two errors and punished us for both. The positives to take from last weeks game was the players reaction to going 2-1 down, they did not feel sorry for themselves they pushed and pushed until the equaliser came."

"I think anyone watching would agree that we were very hard done by not to come away with all three points however as I told the players, football can be a very cruel game. Tenterden will be a tough match and playing them last game of the season showed us they have a totally different team."

Thanks Kevin, COME ON UNITED.........
