Match Report
Match Report - 22 Aug 2009, Swale United Football Club First XI beat Halls XI FC
Swale win second consecutive match as pre-season campaign comes to an end here at Gore Court against a strong Halls FC first team.
The home time started brightly and took the game to their visitors however they had to wait until the 39minute to take the lead. The goal came about following some good work from Gary Harding which ended with a fine finish from Dave Stacey opening his account for the sittingbourne side.
As with previous weeks the lead was short lived and Halls equalised after some poor defending on 45mins. The sides went in at half time one a piece and following a rocket from Assistant Manager Kev Little the team emerged re-freshed and took the game to the visitors.
Within ten mins of the re-start Swale took the lead however they had to wait until the 78minute to get the third and decisive goal and with the fourth goal coming 3minutes later on 81mins the game was finished. We grabbed Assistant Manager Kevin Hake after the game:
"I was again bitterly disappointed with our first half display but was totally satisfied with our second half display. I cannot wait for training on Tuesday to work on some set pieces."
Thanks Kevin, just to remind all involved with Swale the first competitive match of the season is away next Saturday against Greenways FC in the Senior Weald of Kent Cup first round.
