Swale progressed through to the semi-finals of the Kent Cup this Saturday with a 3-0 win this Saturday
Goals from Dave Stacey,Scott Forster and Danny Grant shot United through to their furthest run in the competition in recent times
Swale started the game brightly and created numerous chances,the pick of the bunch being created by Danny Grant and Gary Harding.Swale broke the dead lock on 40 mins with Dave Stacey tapping the ball in from 7 yards after some good work by Scott Forster.
The 2nd half began well for the home side and continued to play good flowing football.However it was a piece of individual brilliance from Scott Forster on 55mins gliding past 2 defenders and firing in the top corner from 25 yards that sealed the win making it 2-0.United's defence again held stong and have now conceded just 1 goal in over 360 mins of football.The visitors managed just one shot on target from a resulting free kick.United remained disciplined after some over zealous challenges by the opposition and added another goal on 67 mins after Danny Grant cut in from the right and his deflected shot cannoned in of the defender.
In all this was a good win for the home side against a good team who have won their respective league year in year out
