Match Report
Match Report - 17 Sep 2011, Swale United Football Club First Team beat Bromley Green FC
Swale end Bromley Greens 30game unbeaten run in cup upset down in Ashford.
We grabbed a jubilant First Team Assistant Manager Kev Little:
"Despite resting certain first teamers the lads picked have come here and done brilliantly, its not often I say this but I thought as team we defended un-believably!"
"The side we played today are second in the Premier Division and whilst we defended for our lives we also created a few of our own opportunities and were disappointed to come in at half time 0-0. Hakey and I told the lads our chance would come and when we sent Sammy on at half time for injured Rooky at left back, not in our wildest dreams did we expect him to score the winner!"
"There will now be some very tough decisions to make for our league game at home to Malgo next Saturday, the good thing being that the lads drafted in have shown their own quality."
Thanks Kev and well done to all involved, the lads reward for this win will be an away tie against New Romney FC in the Quarter Finals.
COME ON UNITED..............
